⭐️ Verdict: [Best For…] ([Score])

Write a short summary of the overall review for skimmers. Many readers never read the full page before they make a decision. This box is here to give the 80/20 in just a few sentences and help people quickly make a buy decision.

The idea here is to express an opinion about the product, not just to share facts. People want the thoughts of a human who has looked deeper into the matter than they have.

How we test & score products

Write a short intro here, no more than 2-3 paragraphs, to introduce the product and how it fits into the product category it belongs to.

You can also talk briefly about the context under which you reviewed the product, the brand, and maybe the produce line history if this product replaces an older version and what has been improved since the last iteration.

Sustainability (Measurement #1)

You should structure your review in terms of quantitative measurements that you use for all the products in the same category.

This means that You pick 5-8 relevant categories that help the user understand how well a product performs and evaluate how well it performs in each of them, assigning a score.

This score will allow you to compare products to each other and Google recommends people to review products that way in their review guidelines.

You can use %, star ratings or scores out of 5 or 10 for your quantitative scores, this part does not matter too much.

Additional Supplements (Measurement #2)

What’s even better if you truly test the products you review is to design a test specifically for each quantitative measurement and base your score off the test results.

Another great thing to do to enhance your reviews further is to take photos during these test or at least photos that illustrate the exact feature/measurement you’re trying to make.

Your photos don’t need to be very high quality, phone photos with good light are plenty for websites.

Photos are excellent for breaking up the text and building trust both with Google and with the user who is likely to stay longer on the page and, therefore, improve your user metrics and rankings.

Ingredients Quality (Measurement #3)

Keep going until you have done all the 5-8 criteria you’ve selected.

Another way to spice your content up is to use graphics to illustrate how well a product perform against the industry average and its main competitors.

You can create these graphs on Google Docs or even chatbot by feeding it with info about the product as I did above. They don’t need to be extremely well designed, but they need to make sense in the context of the measurement you’re trying to make.

Who is this product for?

Here, you tell the audience exactly who should buy the product based on their needs. It’s an excellent idea to use tables to help people read quickly who the product is for.

CategoryRequirementRequirementRequirement
#1NoNoNo
#2YesYesYes
#3YesYesNo

You can have multiple of these tables if it makes sense to do them.

How we reviewed this Product (Optional)

In this section, you can highlight how you reviewed the product, the limitations of the testing (it’s a good thing) and the overall conditions of how you tested it.

If you didn’t have your hands on the product, skip this section and just rely on the link to your review guidelines higher-up. If you did get the product, I recommend adding some photos / videos here to show it off.

[Product] Alternatives

This section is here for the readers who have made it pretty far into the review and are not sure the product is the best for them.

What we do in this case is offer alternatives so you can still get paid and help the user find a better product.
