Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort

The Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort includes three different courses designed by the legendary Pete Dye. Dye is a World Golf Hall of Fame Inductee and Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient.

This resort features a trio of courses that includes Snow Mountain, Sun Mountain and Wolf.

The resort is situated only 25 minutes northwest of the Las Vegas Strip.

There are unique designs and details added by him including “railroad tie bunkers” and sweeping slope changes.

Dye made sure each one of the courses features a different feel and view when played.

📢 Need To Know: The Paiute Resort is named after the Las Vegas Paiute Tribe, who owned the territory that encompassed a portion of the Colorado River, a large section of southeastern Nevada, and areas in Utah and Southern California. The ancestors were considered Tudinu which means desert people.

The event center at the resort is ideal for weddings and large events thanks to its 50,000 square foot clubhouse.

TaylorMade SIM club rentals are available for $70 before 2 p.m. (comes with two sleeves of TaylorMade balls) and $40 for twilight rates (balls not included) after 2 p.m.

During the offseason, which includes January, February, June, August and December, prices range from $69-$129 depending on if you’re teeing off at twilight after 2 p.m. or before 11 a.m.

Stallion Mountain Golf Club

This golf club was created by the PGA Tour’s Jim Colbert (8-time winner) and course architect Jeff Brauer.

This 7,120-yard design has history to it as it played host to the Panasonic Las Vegas Invitational, Golf Channel’s Big Break II as well as the Frank Sinatra Celebrity Classic.

📢 Need To Know: The location is set only seven miles away from the famous Las Vegas Strip.

A 38,000 square foot clubhouse serves food and alcoholic beverages for after, before, or during a round.

There are two par 3’s and two par 5’s showcased on each set of nine holes. Another nice feature added to the course is its water hazards that come into play on both the front and the back including 1, 6, 16 and hole 17.

With the bomb and gouge tactic becoming more and more popular among both amateurs and pros (Bryson DeChambeau) alike, this course will be extremely enjoyable with greens to go for on par 4s and corners to cut on certain holes.

This provides good scoring opportunities along with the risk and reward factor when playing with water and sand traps.

It is one of the cheapest Las Vegas golf courses with prices coming in at $35 and over for residents. For nonresidents it’s $59 depending on the time of day.

Las Vegas National

If you’re trying to play a course enriched in history and featured in a movie, then look no further than Las Vegas National.

Dubbed “The National”, this course was built in 1961 and was formerly known as the Stardust Country Club.

The venue has hosted an LPGA Championship and has been shown in the movie “Casino”. Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci and Sharon Stone all starred in the movie. The house featured in the movie barriers the 1st and 18th fairways. It can also be noticed next to the first tee box on the left side.

Las Vegas National was designed by Bert Stamps.

For non-Clark County residents, the rate can be found for $99 usually. Prices change depending on the time of year.

Its 6,582 yard layout is surrounded by a tropical look with multiple small bodies of water and different elevations across the course.

The 162-acre complex has rolling fairways and has been described as a must-play course by many visitors and locals.

Non-residents can, fortunately, get rates under $100 at certain times of the day on most occasions.

Las Vegas Golf Center

For a mix of practice, playing and partying, the Las Vegas Golf Center is one of the best places to enjoy yourself.

The center is formerly known as the Callaway Golf Center and TaylorMade Golf Experience.

The 42-acre fun zone was placed on the strip near some of the famous casinos Sin City has to offer.

As a complex, it features a double-decker driving range with 113 stalls as well as synthetic and real grass-hitting areas.

Its par 3 course was created by Robert Cupp who was named the 1992 Golf World Magazine Golf Architect of the year.

There is also a putting and short game area. The center also offers the Eric Meeks School of golf for lessons. Meeks won the U.S. Amateur in 1988.

The course was designed by famous golf course designer Pete Dye. It is located in the Las Vegas desert at a lower elevation than all of the other courses in the area to prevent gusty winds from ruining its players’ experiences.

White sand bunkers protect undulating bentgrass greens around the course that contains more than 3,500 pine trees.
