This one’s not close.

Full Swing KIT is faster, simpler, and less annoying to get up and running.

Just turn it on, set it down on flat-ish ground, and you’re swinging in under a minute.

No fiddling. No adjustments.

It auto-aligns using the built-in camera, and there’s no manual calibration to mess with — as long as the surface is reasonably level, it just works.

Flightscope Mevo Plus? Different story.

You’ve got to adjust the roll and tilt manually on the ground — with your hands. 

It also uses a built-in camera for alignment, but the process is slower and more fragile. Especially outdoors. On the range or the course, where you’re constantly picking it up and moving around, it’s a bit of a hassle.

We tested both in the same outdoor sessions, and Mevo Plus consistently took longer to get sorted. It’s not unusable — just not smooth.

Full Swing wins this one. Easily.

Game improvement features

Let’s be honest — this is an area where the Full Swing gets left behind.

The Full Swing KIT has one standout tool: the built-in 1080p video replay.

Every swing is automatically recorded.

• You get crisp, smooth slow-motion playback without setting up external cameras, cables, or apps.
• It feels effortless.
• No lag.
• No confusion.

Want to send it to your coach?

Just tap to share. It’s one of the easiest tools we’ve used for quick swing feedback.

But… that’s about where it ends.

There’s a virtual driving range with 3D shot trajectory and dispersion circles, but that’s more visualisation than training.

• You don’t get challenges.
• You don’t get random shot tasks.
• You don’t even get club gapping tools.

That lack of structure can really hold back progress, especially if you’re the type who improves fastest with drills and benchmarks.

What about Flightscope Mevo Plus?

It’s practically built for game improvement.

The FS Golf app has a feature called Data Margins — set your target range for any metric, and every shot gives you immediate feedback:

Then there’s the PGA Challenge.

User Interface Comparison

Most launch monitors don’t even come close to Full Swing KIT when it comes to user interface.

• You can read data directly from the Full Swing Kit device on its built in screen, 
• You get a built-in OLED screen — sharp, clear, and readable whether you’re in direct sunlight or a dark indoor space.
• And you can actually customise the display. Want just one big metric? Done. Want four tiles at once? Also easy.

It’s clean. Fast. Premium.

The Full Swing app for iPhone and iPad also feels way more polished than Flightscope’s FS Golf app.

• Menus are easier to navigate.
• Buttons are better placed.
• It just feels modern — like an app from 2024, not 2014.

The virtual range graphics aren’t perfect — not exactly PS5 quality — but still show your ball flight in a smoother, more realistic arc than Mevo Plus.

Full Apple integration is another bonus.

And the app layout? Totally customisable.
You can split the screen to show metrics and dispersion… or just show what you care about.

Everything’s flexible. Everything works.

Now… Mevo Plus?

The interface on both apps (FS Golf app and FS Skills App) are functional — but it feel dated.

• The app design is clunky.
• Buttons feel cramped.
• The graphics look like a driving range sim from a decade ago.

The feeling you get is that there’s less focus put on the aesthetic feel and more on the raw data which Mevo Plus has lots of.

But it’s not all bad.

The voice feedback is solid — you’ll hear data without looking at your screen.

You can also sync with an Apple Watch to view shot data or even switch clubs from your wrist.

Plus, the FS Golf app lets you reorder or remove metrics you don’t care about.

Category Winner: Full Swing Kit

There is plenty of helpful user interface features on Mevo Plus but I’m giving the UI win to Full Swing Kit because it’s just a nicer experience using their launch monitor’s interface.

Simulation Software Comparison

Mevo Plus keeps their virtual course offer simple.

You get 12 E6 courses included with your purchase — no subscription required.

You can play on iOS, Android, or PC.

No limits. No catch.

You can just pick up the monitor, download the app, and start playing.

Full Swing’s offering?

It’s polished, but pricey.

Their in-house simulator is the one featured in the TGL league — but to use it at home, you’ll need to buy everything from them.

• The launch monitor.
• Their mat.
• Their net.
• Their integrated gaming P which has the simulator software.

That “all-in” package starts at $7,000 and if you want a projector enclosure, expect to spend closer to $9,500.

Already have a simulator setup?

Too bad. You can’t just buy the software.

It’s clearly built for golfers starting from scratch, not for anyone who already owns gear.

And for the price, the gameplay and graphics just don’t beat what you can get with GS Pro.

Thankfully, both Full Swing and Mevo Plus now officially integrate with GS Pro — and neither charges a connector fee.

That’s a big win either way.

To make things a little more fair, Full Swing does include 5 E6 courses with the monitor — but they’re iOS-only.

No Android support, unlike Mevo Plus.

Mevo Plus is the winner here. More courses. More flexibility. More bang for your buck.

Accuracy 

We don’t do traditional indoor head-to-head comparisons.

Why?

Because launch monitors use different tech, different algorithms, and every system has its quirks.

Choosing one as a “benchmark” doesn’t make much sense.

So here’s what we care about instead:

• Is it consistent?
  
• Does the data match what our pro golfer already knows about his game?

Indoors, we used RCT balls with Full Swing and club stickers with Mevo Plus to capture club data in our testing.

Mevo Plus was solid. Apart from a few unusually high spin numbers on driver shots, it was consistent across sessions

Full Swing started strong — but we ran into a snag. Chips under 40 yards returned some oddball results.

It happened more than once, and it made us pause. We lost some confidence in its short game accuracy as a result

Outdoors, Full Swing redeemed itself.

Our pro golfer said it matched his known distances almost exactly. It nailed his yardages.

And he didn’t question any of the ball data readings in our testing outside. 

Mevo Plus held its own too.

Its shot shapes were accurate matching real world ball flight. Club data was also tight.

Spin numbers were just a little more variable — not off the mark, but less locked-in compared to Full Swing.

Category Winner: Tie

Truthfully, they’re neck and neck. They each have strengths. They each have blind spots.

For accuracy, we’re calling it a tie.

Let’s talk cost — not just numbers, but value.

• Virtual driving range. We think its disappointing the range isn’t included with your purchase 
• View all your historical data and averages from all previous sessions (without a sub you can only view the history of the last session, nothing else )
• Unlimited cloud-based storage so you can store all videos of your shots for review

Category Winner: Flightscope Mevo Plus

We can see the reasons why Full Swing can charge $2k more than Flightscope Mevo Plus right now. 

• It’s got a more modern interface.
• The technology is more advanced
• It’s a far better outdoor unit 

But Mevo Plus has more bang for the buck at the moment so i am giving Mevo Plus the win on pricing and subscriptions.

Indoor Play

For indoor play, if we combine all the different features, i think Mevo Plus edges it for indoor play because:

• The game improvement tools are better and more plentiful.
• You are getting more data points to work with to improve your game
• You have access to more virtual courses out of the box with your purchase
• You don’t need to pay yearly subscriptions. 

Category Winner: Mevo Plus

The setup is quicker with full swing but indoors, that’s not a big issue because you can set the Mevo Plus in a fixed position and it’s ready at all times. So Mevo Plus for the win at indoor play.  

Outdoor Play

If you’ve ever tried to use a launch monitor on the golf course, you know — convenience matters.

A lot.

Mevo Plus will work on grass and on the course.

But every time you move it, you need to re-calibrate the tilt and roll.

• You need to position it just right.
• You need to check your app.
• You need a second device.

If you’re just hitting balls on the range? Manageable.

What are the space requirements for both units indoors.

Both are radar units so they both need minimum of 18-20 feet of total room depth indoors. No winners in space requirements, this is an even tie. 

Lefties and righties

Both units are set up behind you which means you don’t need to move either launch monitor when a leftie or rightie is playing, unlike camera launch monitors. So lefties and righties are also a tie.

Shot Feedback Delay

Shot responsiveness after you hit is instant with Mevo Plus. Less than half a second in our testing. 

For the Full Swing Kit, its 1 to 2 seconds, and in our testing it was usually closer to 2 seconds. So that’s a win for Mevo Plus for shot feedback delay. 

Portability 

If we’re looking purely at size and weight, than Mevo Plus has Full Swing beat for portability. But we evaluate practical portability not just size and weight.

• The full swing kit is a self contained unit so you don’t need an additional device like an iPad at the range. 
• Full Swing can fit in golf bags, it has its own carrying case like Flightscope Mevo Plus, 
• It’s got a longer battery life as we discussed 
• It has a quicker and easier setup outside.

Enough reasons to give the win to Full Swing Kit on portability.

Final Thoughts on Full Swing Kit vs Mevo Plus

If you’re going to be using your launch monitor outdoors a lot — and you want speed, simplicity, and clarity — Full Swing is the better pick.

No question.

For indoor players? It’s more of a toss-up.

Mevo Plus has more game improvement features right now, and better flexibility across platforms.

If you’re focused on sharpening your skills, especially with data — Mevo Plus is the smarter buy.

But Full Swing is catching up.
